A charity match between the Japan Selected Team and the Nepal National Team was organized with the goal of bringing joy and hope to the victims in Nepal through football.
Coached by Kazuyuki Toda, a former member of the Japan national team, the Japan Selected Team comprised Japanese football players who had played in Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Latvia, Thailand, Australia, and the United States. The stands were packed on the day of the match, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the World Cup. The game was hard-fought, with the Nepal national team securing a 1-0 victory. Post-match, both teams received applause, and the stadium was filled with enthusiasm and warmth. We were responsible for selecting players and the coach for the Japan Selected Team, as well as handling public relations in Japan.
